About Eastergate Players

Welcome to the website of Eastergate Players!

Eastergate Players is based in the Six Villages area of West Sussex (Eastergate, Westergate, Barnham, Yapton, Walberton and Aldingbourne).

We are a non-profit-making organisation that performs a pantomime for the community every January. This takes place in the historic Eastergate Parish Hall during the last week of January each year.

We aim to benefit our local communities, give all our audience a night out to remember, and have fun on the way!

Taking Part

Interested in the theatre? Eastergate Players is a friendly and informal group, and we welcome new members. We need volunteers for all theatrical disciplines, such as:

  • Cast
  • Chorus
  • Wardrobe
  • Backstage
  • Musicians
  • Front of house
  • Website, social media, video etc

If you have Monday evenings free from September to January then come and join us. We welcome younger members, but children under 16 should be in the care of a responsible adult.

Our season starts usually on the first Monday of September, when we have a Meet & Greet evening for the group. If you would like to take part, please come to this session (or the next Monday). The Director will begin auditions at this time. All rehearsals take place at Eastergate Parish Hall.

Show week is the the last full week of January, and you should be prepared for rehearsals or shows on every evening of that week and the weekend.

If you would like to help us make a great show for the local community, please come and join us!
